After experiencing the dual challenges of “ice and fire” weather conditions, is 2018 vintage as exciting as expected? Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which one performed better? Is the acidity of white wine bright enough? Was the growth of noble rot satisfying? With these questions in mind, I recently tasted hundreds of large and small wineries on the Left Bank, and carefully selected more than 100 wines to share with you. I hope that the loyal fans of Bordeaux will enjoy my report, and I hope to bring more forward information to friends who are working in the wine industry. I look forward to having 2018 with you guys when we meet next time.
