On March 7, 2025, as a gentle spring breeze drifted across the vineyards, we gathered at Château de Ferrand with longtime friends who share our passion for wine to celebrate the 4th edition of the “AMA Selection” Release Conference. This event has become a much-anticipated highlight for Bordeaux enthusiasts each year. From its early explorations to its present maturity, the “AMA Selection” Release Conference has evolved like a continually unfolding poem, honoring terroir and paying tribute to craftsmanship.

This year, we were honored to welcome more than 40 wine professionals in person, while nearly 5,000 wine lovers joined us via livestream—all eager to witness the unveiling of the 85 wines from the 2022 Bordeaux vintage selected for “AMA Selection” 2022. The remarkable performance of this vintage resulted in significantly more wines being chosen than in previous years.

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the immersive tasting of 17 meticulously curated wines from the “Hidden Dragon Selection”, a key component of “AMA Selection”. Alexandre MA personally arranged the tasting sequence, guiding guests from the Right Bank to the Left Bank to illustrate how terroir and winemaking techniques shape each wine’s style. Through his insightful commentary and vivid analogies, he precisely captured each wine’s key sensory characteristics, bringing its distinct appeal to life through nuanced interpretation. Guests alternated between focused tasting and lively conversation, creating an atmosphere that blossomed from shared enjoyment into a deeper exploration of wine.
